James on Sky's Sporting Chapters

James joined Kait Borsay for Sky's Sporting Chapters to talk about how his journey to the Olympic Games did not get off to the best start, how he went from being coached by Redgrave to rowing with him in the 2000 Sydney Olympics and how he has struggled to rebuild his life and his learn about himself and his family again after his accident in 2010.

I've just listened to the interview you gave on Hardtalk. I can fully relate to all you're going through and will continue to go through on this long road to 'recovery'. Being in the public eye and playing up to an image of yourself when you're in the process of reconstructing your own sense of self must be difficult. You are no longer the same person but are expected to think and behave the same as before. I hope your family can learn to accept you for the way you are now.Neil
