  • I watched Race Across America last night, I am amazed at how well you have recovered from your accident. I really enjoy watching your endurnace events, espeically things you did with Ben Fogle (I hope you both do more). It was great to have met you when you ran the Bupa run around Regents Park earlier this year. I wish you all the best for the future - you are a true inspiration.

  • And I thought that our three tandem rides round South Africa totalling 9000km were quite a feat. But they we were in our seventies then.

  • After working with people who have sustained terrible life changing head injuries for many years I have become slightly obsessive about the use of cycle helmets. I fear I have become the local mad woman who tells all the kids they should be wearing cycling helmets. I hope the constant reminders have got through to my kids and they continue to wear them, but it seems however that the message is not getting through to most of the local teenagers and peer pressure is a big thing. I see lots of families out cycling where I live and whilst the kids are wearing helmets often the parents aren't. How do you convince people ? Helen

  • Crackers - you are without doubt a staggering inspirational individual whose relentness drive will continue to carry you forward and with hope pull many along with you. Just every now and again you should pause, reflect on all you have achieved, smile and only then look to better it :-)

  • Ive just finished reading your Race to the Pole book. And Ive been watching your Race acrossAmerica challenge Fantastic, inspirational stuff. You've inspired me to dust off my trainers, and ive entered the Chester Marathon, only about 12 weeks to go though ! As Bruce Lee said 'If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you'll never get it done'
    Thanks again

  • James Cracknell, you are MY hero and you will continue to inspire so many people with head injuries. Those who suffer such a catastrophic brain injury as you have, will have trodden an extremely traumatic, difficult pathway back to health. You are still battling for full recovery, I know, and I wish you all the luck in the world with this. Thank you for appearing on 'this morning' tv...looking very strong and well.

  • I work for the charity Headway Wirral, we were very impressed with your cycle helmet video, we are planning to have a helemt give away event in our local area involving the local police and schools. Do you think it would be something you could lend your weight to via a personal appearance, or some other kind of endorsement. We would be grateful to have you on board with this very important campaign. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Sue.
